Patch 1.4

Teams

You can now play together under one tag. Start a team, invite your friends, share homes and draw a logo. Everything you do also counts for the team.

The game

  • Type /team (or /lag) to start a team or open yours. Everything can also be done with commands, for example /team invite <player>.
    • A team has a name, a tag of 2–4 letters or digits, and room for 10 living members.
    • The leader can give each member four permissions: invite, remove members, manage the team homes and draw the logo.
    • The leader can name a deputy, hand over the lead, and change the name and the tag once a week.
    • The leader picks the team's colour with /team color, or on the website: one of the 16 Minecraft colours. The tag wears it in chat, in the player list and on the website.
  • The team tag stands in the team's colour in front of your name in chat and in the player list (Tab): [EN] [TAG] Name.
  • /tc <message> sends a message to your team only.
  • The team has three shared homes. They have their own cooldown, separate from your own homes, and the same lock after damage.
  • If the leader dies, the deputy takes over. With no deputy, the lead goes to the living member who joined first. The fallen stay on the team with a cross.

The website

  • New page: Teams. Every team, including those disbanded or fallen, ranked by playtime, blocks, kills, members or age.
  • Each team has its own page with the logo, the members, the statistics and the team's milestones. A team only gets credit for what its members did while wearing its tag.
  • The website has accounts: register with your Minecraft name and a password, and sign in with them. Sign in at the top of the page, or in the menu on a phone.
    • You confirm the account by typing /login (or /konto) in the game and entering the code you get. That is how we know the Minecraft account is yours.
    • Forgot your password? Choose a new one, and confirm it the same way. No email needed.
    • Don't use your Minecraft or Microsoft account password. Choose a separate one for the website.
    • The leader and those with the logo permission can draw the team's logo: 64 × 64 pixels in any colour, or load a picture.
    • Everyone sees the logo, so it has to follow the rules: no nudity or sexual content, no hate symbols, no racism or harassment. A logo that breaks the rules is removed, and whoever made it can be banned.
  • The front page shows the top teams, ranked by playtime, blocks or mob kills.
  • The leader can also change the team's name, tag and colour on the website: sign in and choose “Edit team” on the team page. The team is told in the game.
  • The team tag shows on the player page and in the player list, with the team's logo beside it.

Patch 1.3

The game in English

If you came in through an address other than hardcoresmp.no, the game now speaks English to you. Everyone else gets Norwegian as before.

The game

  • Players with the EN tag get everything from /rtp, /tpa and homes in English: messages, menus, buttons and dialogs, on both Java and Bedrock.
  • If you send a teleport request to someone who reads Norwegian, they get it in Norwegian, and you get your reply in English.
  • The server list shows its text in Norwegian when you connect through hardcoresmp.no, and in English otherwise.
  • The ban screen is in English for everyone, as before.

The website

  • The website now has an English home at hardcoresmp.net. It gives hardcoresmp.net as the server address, so players who join that way get the EN tag.

Patch 1.2

Small fixes

A round of small bugs fixed, in the game and on the website. Nothing new to learn, just things that now work the way they should.

The game

  • If you take damage, you have to wait 60 seconds before you can teleport. Logging out and back in no longer skips the wait.
  • /rtp no longer gets stuck on 'searching' if you log out in the middle of the search.
  • /rtp no longer puts you down in a sweet berry bush, a wither rose or a portal.
  • /tpaccept <player> accepts that player's request right away, without going through the menu.
  • If a teleport is refused (because the cooldown isn't over, for example), the menu stays open and its buttons still work.
  • On Bedrock: the menu that opens after you confirm something (deleting a home, for example) no longer vanishes right away.
  • Deleting a home always asks you to confirm first.
  • The 'New on the server' notice is no longer counted as seen if you leave before it shows.
  • AFK time is no longer lost when the server restarts.
  • Playtime is now counted for each player separately, second by second.

The website

  • The blocks page includes every block, and the search finds them all.
  • Names with æ, ø, å and other special characters now work in the search and on player pages.

Patch 1.1

NO and EN tags

HardcoreSMP now has players from more places than Norway. This update shows who came in through hardcoresmp.no, and gives everyone else a proper welcome.

The game

  • Players now have a [NO] or [EN] tag in front of their name in chat and in the player list (Tab).
    • NO is blue and EN is red.
    • The tag comes from the address you first joined through: hardcoresmp.no gives NO, every other address gives EN.
  • New players who join through another address than hardcoresmp.no get the welcome menu in English.
  • When there's a new update, you're told in chat the first time you log in after it.

The website

  • The tag also shows on the player page, in the player list, on the graveyard and on the homepage.
  • New page: Updates. You're reading it.
